Dear sir:
Just an eye-opener to the big businesses of Fort Frances who are worried about Wal-Mart store coming to town.
They are not going to hurt you at all, they are just going to make it easier for all the people of Fort Frances who go to Dryden and Thunder Bay to shop, because their prices are so much lower than our stores in Fort Frances.
Every time I go to Dryden or Thunder Bay, I meet people from Fort Frances at Wal-Mart shopping the same as myself.
If Wal-Mart can sell for less, why can’t you? Try their way of doing business.
Besides, you have a bigger worry 20 miles from here—that new store in Emo. That’s the one that’s going to hurt because the whole western and northwestern part of Rainy River district won’t have to come to Fort Frances to shop. It will save them a 40-mile drive.
I know for a fact there are a lot of people from Rainy River, Bergland, and Morson who come here to shop. but won’t need to from now on.
Hurray for Emo and the people of Fort Frances. As from now on, Fort Frances businesses will have to compete with Emo.
