Ahead of removing the ice from the Ice for Kids Arena, the public was invited to head down to the ice surface on Saturday, May 24, 2025, to take part in a special Paint the Ice day, where designs of all shapes, sizes and colours could be drawn up for fun. The ice surface eventually served as a canvas for dozens of drawings from creative individuals ahead of being thawed out for summer ceremonies and events.
