Confusing sign

Dear sir:
Well, things just keep getting better and better!
While driving home from Thunder Bay and into our lovely town of Fort Frances, I noticed that at the entrance of that end of town on the highway there is a lovely, bright blue sign that says “La Verendrye Parkway.”
Love the sign! But immediately I thought, “Okay, where is it, how far is it, how do I find it?” Simple questions, perhaps, but if I were a tourist relying on that sign to get me there, “Good luck to me!”
Like I said, things just keep getting better and better!
