No election for Riverside board

While the annual meeting of Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. won’t be held until Thursday, June 26 in Rainy River, it’s already known no election is necessary this year.
But there will be two new board members as Robert Stamler and Norma Elliott submitted their nomination forms prior to the May 26 deadline.
They will be replacing Ted Kaemingh, who declined to let his name stand after completing one three-year term, and Pat Giles, who already has served three terms on the board of directors and, according to Riverside’s bylaws, cannot run for the seat four terms in a row.
He may re-apply next year.
Meanwhile, Jeanne Jewell, Wendy Judson, and Brigitta McGreevy, who also were up for re-election this year, let their names stand again.
They will re-join the rest of the board of directors, which includes chair Percy Champagne, vice-chair Emily Watson, Terry Ellwood, Jim Leonard, Cecil Ogden, Noreen Robertson, Christine Ruppenstein, Craig Sanders, Riverside CEO Wayne Woods, Robin Wright, Dr. Barry Anderson, and chief of staff Dr. Robert Algie.
Other business on the agenda at the annual meeting, which will start at 7 p.m., includes the year-end audit by Jock Spence of BDO Dunwoody as well as reports from the Tammy Kellar, chair of the Riverside Foundation for Health Care, Dr. Algie, Woods, Champagne, and the three hospital auxiliaries.
An opportunity for questions and public participation will take place, but those wishing to make a presentation are asked to submit a written copy by Thursday, June 12 at 4 p.m. to be included on the agenda.
