Honoured

Dear sir:
On June 28, at 2 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29, veterans were awarded with a 50-year continuous service medal.
On presenting this medal, Branch president Lance Halstead and awards chairman, Noris Piccinato stated what an honour it was for the legion to present this medal to us.
To these people, the flag bearers, the kitchen staff for the wonderful lunch, and other members who took part in this presentation, I would like to say, on behalf of all the veterans, that it was our honour to receive this award from the legion, and thank you very much.
It is something we’ll never forget.
