Last Wednesday (July 16), a two-vehicle accident occurred in the Devlin area which injured Rose Mose, who was a passenger in one of the cars.
Suffering from a broken kneecap, cracked ankle, and torn ligaments, Rose initially was taken to La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, then later flown out to Thunder Bay for treatment.
Rose was flown back here yesterday (July 22) and will spend the next several weeks in our local hospital recovering from her injuries.
Best of luck on a complete and speedy recovery to Rose from your community of family and friends.

On the bright side, Rose’s granddaughter, Courtney Mose, recently won a trip to Disney World through the Fort Frances Dental Centre, where she receives her dental care.
Courtney, along with her parents, Dave and Tracy, and brother and sister, plan to make the trip to Disney World in November.
Congratulations to Courtney and her family!

Congratulations, also, to Dave and Tracy Mose on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary.

If 4-H members get their names in immediately to Tracy Hyatt, they still can attend the trip to Manitoba to see the Mennonite Village. She can be reached at 486-3479.

Devlin slo-pitch action from last week saw the River Rats beat the Brew Jays (July 16). The game July 14 was rained out while no score was reported for the game slated July 15.
This past Monday (July 22) saw the River Rats down Variety Pack (watch out, everyone, the River Rats are on a roll!)

Robin’s 2¢:
Strolling through paradise, God found Adam leaning against a tree. “I’m lonely,” he said. “I have nobody to talk to.”
“Then I’ll make you a companion and call her woman,” God replied. “She’ll be loyal and loving—she’ll plough your fields, sow, reap, and harvest for you.
“She’ll bear your children and will never argue or disagree with you, or get mad at anything you say or do. In short, she will be your devoted and loyal servant.”
“Wow,” said Adam. “Is there a cost for this wonderful companion?”
“Yes,” God said. “She will cost you an arm and a leg.”
“Oh,” Adam said and paused. “What kind of woman would I get for a rib?”
