The youngest local gridiron enthusiasts will be back on the field in two weeks, going helmet on helmet to ready themselves for another season.
Head coach Dean Bruyere and his staff will open training camp for the Muskie ‘C’ football squad Aug. 18 from 5:30-8:30 p.m., running at the same time Monday through Friday through Sept. 5.
Bruyere advised all players attending camp should wear “old clothes that they’re not afraid to get dirty” as well as bring along cleats if they own a pair, although running shoes also will be acceptable.
The team will host Baudette on Sept. 8, then travel the following weekend to Thunder Bay for exhibition games Sept. 13-14 against PeeWee and Bantam squads from there.
The Muskies will journey to Baudette for a Sept. 22 match-up, then complete their season with games Oct. 9 (Grade 7s) and Oct. 14 (Grade 8s) in International Falls.
