An open letter to Marcus Powlowski and the Liberal Party of Canada

Merry Christmas:Marcus; I did start with merry Christmas, and I mean that. But it is Christmas Day and I got a reminder today via E-mail about the itty bitty thing that is driving Canadians like me, crazy, no nuts. I received my home heating gas bill, ya today! So give my best regards to Justin along with the gift I will be presenting him when I make my fuel bill remittance. The cost for the fuel used was $47.13 and the carbon tax for same is $72.29. Adding to that comes $23.65 in hst for a grand total of $95.94 in taxes while only using the $47.13 in gas. My total bill for home heating in Dec. is $207.30 and almost half of that is taxes to our upper levels of government. It isn’t fair and it is going to cost you and the Liberals the next election, which I fear is going to occur sooner than later. Maybe the Liberals should “ax the tax” before the election, like the Cons have proclaimed they will do. It may not save your hide at this point, but it would take the wind out of Poilievre’s sail. Notice I said sail, singular, because Poilievre is a one trick pony. So have a Happy New Year as I am sure Justin may enjoy my next deposit when I make the next instalment in January.

Best regards

Ken Perry

PS. I am still a Liberal at heart!
