Barbara Ann (Dougherty) Cain, age 90 years, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, with her children by her side.
Mom recently celebrated her milestone “90th” birthday, on November 15, 2024. She was born November 15, 1934, in Saskatoon, Sask.
On August 18, 1954, Mom and Dad were married in Atikokan, together this is where they raised their four children.
Mom will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children Janice Siegers of Thunder Bay, Richard (Lori), John, both of Atikokan, Cindy (Shawn) Clark of Lac du Bonnet; grandchildren Bryan Cain, Krystin Cain, Brandon (Samantha) Clark and Joshua (Ahnissa) Clark; great-grandchildren Dallas and Sophie Cain, Grayson, Boston, Theo and Saylor Clark.
She is also survived by her sister and best friend Carol Lefko of Port Perry; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Bertha Dougherty; husband Lyle George (1995); daughter baby Susan Elaine (1955); and grandson Adam Richard Cain (2003).
Special thanks to the nurses and doctors in the Hospice Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
