The demolition of the White Pine Inn Hotel began this morning after years of rumors around the building’s status. The hotel closed in March of 2011 and was then part of a tax sale in 2015. There has been speculation around the land’s development ever since. Many Fort Frances locals have complained about the poor visual representation the derelict building gives the east end of Scott St. wondering when it would be demolished.
