Disturbing comments

Dear Mr. Behan,
As owners of one of the units at the RiverWalk Condominium here, we are very disturbed about the negative comments this project is getting.
As out-of-area residents, we were pleased to hear a condominium was being built in Fort Frances. We paid our deposit in full.
In faith we bought a condominium. That is to say that each owner is part of a group of people who work together to maintain and appreciate the whole building.
We purchased all our appliances and window dressings locally. We buy everything locally. All owner residents are now paying taxes and that includes six of the new out-of-town, first-time Fort Frances taxpayers, thus generating more income for the town.
This combination is much more in taxes than the lots would have brought in.
As well, we all have a good neighbourly feeling towards each other and are enthused about living at RiverWalk. But with such negativity towards the project, how can the rest of the units be sold?
Renting will not solve the problem. More money will have to be paid to have rental units ready. We doubt that anyone on council wants to take on the role of a landlord.
Positive marketing is required to sell the remaining units. This can be easily accomplished with a forward-thinking mayor and new council members.
