A Red Gut Bay First Nation man faces several charges following a single-vehicle accident Monday morning on Pearson’s Road, east of Fort Frances.
Police said the 45-year-old driver failed to negotiate a corner on Pearson’s Road and entered the west ditch around 10:30 a.m.
Emo OPP officers arrested the man and charged him with care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired as well as care or control of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg, police reported yesterday.
Further investigation revealed the man was a suspended driver so he subsequently also was charged with driving while disqualified, police said.
The man is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 12.
