On Monday, September 30, Riverside Foundation for Health Care held its annual general meeting (AGM) at La Verendrye General Hospital.
Returning to the board of directors for three-year terms are Paul Brunetta and Shanda DeGagne-Begin. Also returning for one-year terms are Bev Langner, Carol Hyatt and Marnie Cumming who were appointed as the Rainy River Health Centre Auxiliary rep, the Emo Health Centre Auxiliary rep and the LVGH Auxiliary rep respectively.
Continuing their terms are Delaine McLeod, Susan Irvine, Kim Jo Bliss and Rob Georgeson.
The board thanks outgoing members Laurie Hogan who served as the Rainycrest Auxiliary rep since May 2022 as well as Meghan Cox, who handed in her resignation following the regular board meeting held after the AGM. Cox, who joined the board in 2020, served as Vice-Chair of the board in 2023/2024 and as Co-Chair of the Picture This capital campaign during her tenure, being instrumental in raising $1.7 million dollars for new Diagnostic Imaging equipment for Riverside. Cox stated that her experience on the board has been invaluable and that she will continue to be a steadfast supporter of Riverside Foundation and health care close to home.

At the inaugural meeting of the board of directors, held immediately following the AGM, Tyler Cousineau was elected to have his name stand as Chair, while Shanda DeGagne-Begin was elected to have her name nominated as Vice-Chair. Both were acclaimed to their respective positions.
