Congratulations to Chad Galusha and Lyndsi Wilson on their marriage. The couple were wed Saturday, September 14th. at a breathtaking outside wedding. All attending enjoyed a beautiful ceremony and reception. Proud parents are Bill and Patti Wilson and Steve Galusha and Barb Roy.

The Senior’s Club of the LaVallee Municipality will be hosting a coffee break on September 24 from 1-3 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.
Yoga starts this Thursday (September 19) at 9:30 a.m. and will continue for five weeks. This is part of our Seniors events made possible by monies from the Ontario Government. Seniors must be 55+ to attend. There is no cost to attend this event. Call Glenda at 275-8166 to register.
Beer and Burger takes place at the Emo Legion this Friday, September 20. This event also includes a meet draw. Beer and Burger is from 5-7 p.m. The meet draw takes place at 7 p.m.
The Township of Alberton is hosting a Corn Roast and Barbecue September 22nd. from 4-6 p.m. at the Millennium Park. This is made possible from the efforts of the Volunteer Fire Department and the Recreation Committee. Games of corn hole, ladder ball and a scavenger hunt will be enjoyed plus attendance prizes for kids. Burgers, corn and popcorn will be served. Shucking starts at 4p.m. The meal will be served under a dining tent if there is rain conditions. Members of the Community Emergency Management Committee (CEMC) will be on site to answer questions and Help You Get Prepared, get help with: identifying hazards, building an emergency kit, and creating an evacuation plan. Please bring your own lawn chair.
A reminder that the Guthrie United Church is hosting its annual Fall Harvest Supper on Sunday, September 29th. at the Devlin Hall. A traditional meal of ham, turkey and all the trimmings will be served. Doors open at 5p.m. and the doors remain open tell 7 p.m. for this supper. Advance tickets only, adults pay $30, 6-12 years $18 and youth 5 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased at Devlin’s General Store, Kathy at 276- 0505, Trudy at 276-0420 or Karen at 275-7277. Takeouts will be available from 4:15-4.45 p.m.
