Loosening up restrictions first imposed as a precautionary measure against Severe Acute Respiratory Disorder (SARS), Rainycrest Home for the Aged here is now open for visiting from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
But visiting remains restricted to one visitor per resident at a time.
All other visitors are asked to wait outside the building.
Visitors also still must be screened and wash their hands prior to visiting.
At La Verendrye Hospital, meanwhile, visitors still are only allowed there from 4-6:30 p.m. each day under the following guidelines:
•all visitors must be screened before entering the hospital;
•only one visitor per patient at any one time;
•visitor passes must be obtained from the screening desk; and
•visitors must sign the contact sheet located in the patient’s room.
Visitors cannot wait in the hospital to visit a patient. Please make arrangements with your family and friends to determine the best time to visit.
