More donations needed

Re: Everyone deserves a Christmas
The Salvation Army would like to thank the people of this community and many businesses for the donations we already have received this Christmas season.
Corps officers, employees, and volunteers are working hard to collect the funds necessary to fulfill our commitment to the people of our community and district.
However, we have not received enough donations to make this possible. At this time, we’ve only received 25 percent of the donations required to help all who are in need.
This year, we have given out 221 hamper applications to the less fortunate. We need the community’s financial support in order to continue our needy ministry and help those unfortunate in this district.
Please give generously so that, in return, we also can give generously and fulfill our Christmas goal. Remember that 100 percent of donations received go back into the community!
We would like to thank the businesses that have allowed us to place a kettle in front of their business, especially The Place, which is matching all donations received up to $1,000.
We also would like to thank our few volunteers who put in many hours to help us.
If anyone is interested in continuing to help us, and donate some free time to man the kettles or put together the hampers, feel free to call 274-3871. We will be more than happy to hear from you in this busiest and sharing time of the year!
