The first Coffee and Friends event is taking place at the Emo Legion (in the Legion hall) on February 20 from 1-3 p.m. This event is for seniors 55 plus. Coffee and refreshments will be served and board games will be available for those who wish to enjoy a friendly game. There is no charge for this event.
The Emo United Church extends a warm welcome to all area churches to attend Lenten lunches 2024 at Knox United Church in Emo. A short service will take place at 12:00 p.m. followed by a soup and sandwich lunch.

Happy 40th birthday to Jason Caul and Jen Libiak. The twins reached this milestone birthday on Feb 9. Celebrations and cakes were enjoyed. Our community wishes you a great year ahead and many more to come.
Congratulations to Trish Wilson and Allan Rebelo on the birth of their first child. Winnie Louisa Rebelo was born February 7 in Thunder Bay, weighing 7 lbs.8 ounces. Happy grandparents are Carlos and Linda Rebelo, Ken Wilson, Betty Westover and Randy Brennan.
The Beer and Burger held last Friday, February 9, saw Don Kinnear and Glenda Belluz the lucky winners of the meat draw. The next Beer and Burger is February 23, followed by a Country Jam dance.
There will be a Legion Bingo February 20. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with an early bird game at 6:45, and regular games starting at 7 p.m.
There will also be a Bingo March 19.
There is a canteen open during the games for patrons to enjoy.
The winner of the January’s Devlin General Store $50.00 gas draw was Gary Selman. Be sure to sign up every time you purchase $40.00 of gas or more.
Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Pat Fisher. Pat was a lady with a hard work ethic, she gave it her all to nursing and whatever she did. She will be sadly missed by many.
