Sadly the family announces the passing of Allan Kellar, 87, of Emo,Ontario, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Emo Health Centre.
Allan was born on June 2, 1936, to parents Lawrence and Evelyn (nee Allan) Kellar. In his early years Allan worked at numerous jobs including the Mando Camps in Kenora, in Atikokan at the mines and at Resolute Paper from 1971 till retirement in 1996. He also farmed for many years. He was united in marriage to Jill Curtis on July 20, 1962, and together they raised their three children Grant, Pamela and Robert.
Allan will be greatly missed by his wife Jill; his children Grant, Pamela (Kevin), Robert (Rhonda); and his grandchildren Patrick and Jolie. He is also survived by his siblings Ardell Stevens, Doreen (Wayne) McKay, Gwen Curtis, Arnold (Karen) Kellar, Donna (Melvin) Williamson; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Allan was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Evelyn; his siblings Bud (Betty) Kellar, Thelma (Essa) Salo, infant brother Donald Kellar, Margaret Kellar; brothers-in-law Jack Curtis and Harvey Stevens.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be held in the spring with a date to be announced.
