It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Johanna Rae Renn, age 59, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at her home in Fort Frances.
Johanna was predeceased by her father Keith Watson, her sisters Diane Petit and Doris Pelletier and her cousin Nicolle Pelletier.
She will be sadly missed by her son Jonas (Marijana Krpan); her mother Ellen Watson; her brothers Grant Watson (Emily) and George Castellan; and her sisters Gwenn Amorde (Dan) and Lee Anne Castellan; as well as many extended family and friends.

Johanna spent many years in her youth practicing piano, figure skating and Cadets. She had a love of animals including cats, dogs and horses. Johanna moved to Camrose, Alberta which is where Jonas was born. She worked there for several years before returning to live in Fort Frances. She worked for several years for Donald Taylor Law Office and Canada Border Services before being forced into an early retirement by the worsening of her fibromyalgia. As she aged her mental health began to deteriorate and she struggled with the affects her medication had on her physical health.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Emo, Ontario.
