Dear editor:
There was some stunning news in last week’s paper. Ontario just signed an agreement with the Métis to let them hunt and fish without licences year-round.
I believe they (Métis) should be given a means test first to see if they need this fish and wildlife, as most of the Métis are working and don’t need this free fish and game.
I have been up north and the original people there need the fish and wildlife to survive.
I don’t believe in two governments (First Nations) as all through history, any country trying to survive on two governments has fallen. Our own government should have everyone equal.
United we stand; divided we will fall.
Signed,
Allan Kielczewski

P.S. Who gave our natives the land in the first place. I have yet to see a deed for any land dedicated to them.
