Money pouring in for family

Local response to the story in yesterday’s Times on the plight of one-year-old Alicia Delbridge already has been impressive, says family friend Michelle Grynol.
In fact, Grynol is asking people not to donate any more money to her directly but instead to go to the customer service desk at Canada Safeway here, where Cory Delbridge, Alicia’s dad, is the assistant manager.
Grynol is still available to answer questions as well as pass on any messages to the Delbridge family in Calgary.
In the meantime, the Royal Bank branch here has established a special account in Alicia’s name, where people also can make donations.
Grynol also noted efforts are underway in Calgary, where Alicia remains in critical condition in hospital suffering from myocarditis (a viral infection that causes swelling and inflammation of the heart), to raise money on her behalf.
The family is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from local residents during this difficult time, Grynol added.
