Fort Frances OPP would like to remind homeowners to secure their residences during the day.
The OPP are actively investigating occurrences in which homes have been entered and property has been stolen.
Police are looking into the possibility that the suspects will knock on the front door to ascertain if anyone is home, then enter the residence if it has been left unlocked.
A red, early 1990s compact size car also has been seen in the area where some of these incidents have taken place.

In other news, Fort Frances OPP officers responded to a disturbance on the 200 block of Third Street East shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday.
As a result, police charged a 52-year-old Seine River First Nation man with breach of undertaking. He was remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
Police also are continuing to investigate a break-and-enter to the Little Beaver Snow Park near the landfill site.
Sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. yesterday, suspects entered the building and made off with alcohol and chocolate bars, police said.

Finally, Emo OPP officers are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle accident that took place Saturday on Ducharme Road in Alberton Township.
The driver of a southbound 1993 Dodge Caravan lost control of his vehicle and struck a culvert around 6:30 p.m. The vehicle also caused damage to a private driveway.
As a result, a 45-year-old Alberton man was charged with careless driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and failing to surrender a valid insurance card.
