No racing in Emo didn’t stop racers

There was no racing this past Saturday night at the Emo Speedway, but that didn’t stop some local drivers from heading out elsewhere to compete.
Here’s where and how some of them did over the Labour Day weekend:
•Thursday Sept. 2 (Silver 1000—Proctor Speedway in Minnesota)
Steve Arpin (fourth in Heat #5 and 13th in feature), Jason Anderson (sixth in Heat #5 and seventh in B Main), and Joey Galloway (did not finish Heat #2 and 11th place in B Main)
•Friday Sept. 3 (St. Croix Speedway in Wisconsin)
Chuck Lambert and Denny Trimble (results not known)
•Friday Sept. 3 (Rice Lake Speedway in Wisconsin)
S. Arpin (broke), Anderson (did not qualify), Galloway (DNQ)
•Saturday Sept. 4 (Rice Lake Speedway)
S. Arpin (first in heat and feature), Anderson (DNQ), Chuck Lambert (advanced to the feature), Denny Trimble (DNQ), C. Arpin (broke in the heat and 10th in the feature)
•Saturday Sept 4. (Labour Day Shootout—Hibbing Raceway in Minnesota)
Kyle Gavel (third in Heat #7 and 17th in feature), Vic Larson (fifth in Heat #6 and seventh in B feature), Ron Westover (ninth in Heat #2), and Galloway (eighth in Heat #7)
