My name is Gerry Rousseau and I am a self-employed electrical contractor.
I have been a trustee for 12 years with the former Fort Frances-Rainy River District Roman Catholic Separate School Board and, more recently, with the Northwest Catholic District School Board, including years in the position of vice-chair and chair.
I also have been on the executive committee of the Thunder Bay Diocesan Trustee Association for 10 years, as well as sitting on the board of directors for the Ontario Catholic School Trustee Association for the past six years.
I believe that my involvement at the regional and provincial levels have helped to bring awareness of all the issues to our local board.
It is important during this time of funding restraint and declining enrolment that we strive to continue providing the quality programs and services we have now.
