A new business opened on Scott Street today as Kathy Dolph has taken over ownership of We ’R Entertainment, now known as This N’ That.
“There will be a few changes,” said Dolph, who took a few minutes out of her busy schedule yesterday to talk.
She and her staff have been working hard to get ready for today’s opening.
“I’ve got a totally new line called ‘Pretty Punch.’ It’s a punch needlecraft,” noted Dolph, adding she’ll also be teaching punch needlecraft classes in January.
“And the stuff will be there that people have come to expect [from] us,” said Dolph, who used to work at We ’R Entertainment.
This ranges from birthday, wedding, and anniversary supplies to scrapbooking materials, beaded curtains, unique giftware, and used books.
The store also will continue to rent out DVDs and video games.
A grand opening is planned for Dec. 7-8, which will feature refreshments and in-store draws, along with a promotion where customers can pop a balloon and get a discount coupon to put toward their purchases.
Dolph noted regular store hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, but it also will be open Sundays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for the holiday shopping season.
We ’R Entertainment was owned by Paul Patterson and Rick McDougall.
