Dear sir:
Larry and Shane Armstrong made my autistic son’s Christmas.
When my son, Kirk, asked me for a skating rink, I told him “it was impossible!” Then one day while at Wal-Mart, I saw a rink liner and then I thought that maybe it wasn’t so “impossible.”
I casually asked how it could be done and how much water was needed. Larry caught wind of it and two days later what before our wondering eyes did appear but Larry and Shane in a half-ton truck with a trailer filled with water right to the door of our country house!
With big smiles, they poured the water and made the once thought “impossible” skating rink—not to mention in extremely cold weather!
How special is that? Two very busy men who would take the time three days before Christmas for a little boy they’ve never met. I just wanted to say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart.
Signed,
Wanda Johnson
P.S. We blindfolded Kirk’s eyes and took him outside Christmas morning. Let’s just say it was a Christmas he won’t ever forget.
