Meet at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center this Sunday (Feb. 20) and join local ski enthusiast Natalie Stone for the basics of skiing.
The lesson will start at 2 p.m. at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center’s upper parking lot. Stone will teach the children the basics of skiing, then take them on a short ski on the park’s Voyageur/Tilson Trail.
Parents who accompany children also must be on skis.
Afterwards, all can warm up next to a cozy fire and drink some hot cocoa.
If your child will need skis, we have a limited number of children’s skis, poles, and boots for loan—free of charge. Call prior to the lesson for available sizes.
