For the second day in a row, the Scott Gobeil rink (Team Manitoba) split their games at the Canadian Police Curling Championship being held at the Granite Curling Club in Winnipeg.
Gobeil, whose rink includes third Dave Priestley, second Tyson Langrell, and lead Scott Bell, opened play yesterday with a 10-5 loss to Team Saskatchewan.
But then he rebounded with an 8-5 win over Team Ontario to even his record at 2-2.
Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec were tied for first at 4-0 heading into play today.
Gobeil—making his 10th appearance at the national playdowns—will face a pair of undefeated rinks today, meeting Quebec this afternoon and then Alberta tonight.
Gobeil won the national title in 1996, when Fort Frances hosted the event, while playing third for the Clint Barton rink.
