Falls to test fireworks tonight

The International Falls Fire Department wants Borderland residents to be aware it will be conducting fireworks testing tonight between 9:30-10 p.m.
Acting Fort Frances Fire Chief Gerry Armstrong, relaying a message from Falls Fire Chief Jerry Jensen, said yesterday the testing only will be a short display.
It is being conducted for the purposes of training people with mortars in preparation for the July 4 celebrations over there.
The testing will be conducted on the U.S. side of the upper Rainy River across from the Sorting Gap Marina.
