The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce would like to make people aware of an issue arising from its annual home and leisure show held last Friday and Saturday.
A booth with a business identified as Perfect Places (www.bluegreenonline.com) was promoting vacation packages and encouraging people to fill out a form that would allow their telemarketing group to contact them with details on a discounted vacation package.
The company is legitimate, but it is not offering any free vacations as so many may have thought.
In a statement issued by the vacation company, manager M.G. Fadel stated, “During the next several days, our highly-trained tele-sales team will be contacting those patrons who registered and qualified for information regarding one of our Great Vacation Valued Packages.”
Should patrons have any questions or concerns regarding the vacation package, they are encouraged to contact the Corporate Customer Service Office at 1-866-423-8180 ext. 350.
The OPP is reminding residents to be discretionary with giving credit card information over the phone.
