Steve Arpin made some noise in his return to the ARCA circuit over the weekend.
The former local driver notched a third-place finish at Saturday’s Berlin ARCA 200 in Marne, Mich. in his first race on that circuit since the Prairie Meadows 200 back on July 10.
Arpin improved on his fifth-place position on the starting grid to move up into the top trio over the course of the race, losing out a battle with Patrick Sheltra for second spot.
Arpin’s finish allowed him to jump from 15th to 13th in the ARCA overall standings.
ARCA’s next race—the Garden State ARCA 150—is slated for this coming Sunday afternoon at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Arpin, also a part-time member on the NASCAR Nationwide Series, did not compete in this past weekend’s event—the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen.
