A general meeting of the legion ladies Auxiliary to branch #29 was brought to order by President Josie Miller on December 8. It was attended by 30 members, with applications for membership presented and approved for Emily Watson.
The group acknowledged the December Birthdays of Elaine Sande and Cindy Noble.
Poppy card fundraiser is in progress and cards can be purchased at the Legion, The Senior Center, the Library or through Auxiliary members. Beautiful handmade poppy designed cards are sold in packs of four for $20.00. There are still a few left.
The Auxiliary is pleased to report that all Executive positions for 2022 have been filled with:

Elaine Sande and Mary Cooper – Sick and Visiting
Thank you ladies for stepping forward. Installation will take place at the January meeting.
Legion Auxiliary Service Awards were presented to:
Christina MacDougall for 2020 and Giselle Calder for 2021
This award is presented annually by the Branch for hard work and dedication. Congratulations and much deserved.
Several donations and gift baskets were approved for distribution: Rainycrest Christmas tree gifts, FF Family Center, Fishes and Loaves, Salvation Army, Bear Clan, school breakfast/lunch programs, OPP, Treaty Three Police, FF Fire Fighters, EMS.
The brief meeting was followed by a delicious chicken dinner with the trimmings, dessert and coffee/tea. Thank you to Leslie for volunteering to cook and to all the Auxiliary and Branch Members that helped with preparation and serving. Games and prizes organized by Clara and Marlene, thank you for the fun. Bring a gift = get a gift took place with an assortment of gifts seen.
Regular general meetings are currently on schedule with the next meeting being Wed., January 12, 2022.
