The dust was flying and the engines revving on Saturday at the Emo Speedway, as racers and their crews got a chance to get out on the track for a practice round. Due to loosening restrictions, Borderland Racing is staging a full return to in-person races, with spectators. The season opener will be July 2 and 3, with regular season races running July 10, 17, 24 and August 7, 14 and 28. The Rea memorial will run August 20 and 21, with the annual Race for the Fallen scheduled for September 4 and 4. Spectators will be capped at 25 per cent, which is 625 people. Spectators must sign in, wear a mask until seated, and sit six feet from other groups in the stands. For more information, and ticket prices, check them out on Facebook. – Megan Walchuk photo
