Dear editor,
I know the councillors have decided to change the names of the streets, which I have no problem with. It’s a good thing. I do have a problem with a couple names that were in the newspaper. Pride Road. And I don’t think it has to be named after the local Indigenous heritage, culture or language. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
I do believe in reconciliation, but I believe it should work both ways. I think everybody would be better off. I think a good name would be Veteran’s Drive West.
It covers all ethnicities whom fought for our great country. This is my suggestion for the name change of my street, which I lived on for 32 years.
