Rainy River Rec presents the Rainy River’s Trail of Terror. The spooky event will take place Fridays and Saturdays from October 17 to 31. Soft scare and hard scare options available. Emo Feeds is hosting a Harvest Market, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Birch Bark Yarns will be spinning wool. Fresh baked goods, and produce, animals to visit, pumpkins to pick and fun for the whole family.

The The Bargain Shop is currently holding their annual “Together We Care” Food Drive to support those experiencing food insecurity. The campaign will run until Friday, October 9. Drop off your donations at the Bargain Shop, downtown Fort Frances. The goal this year is $700 worth of groceries.
The Associates of St. Marguerite d’Youville, in partnership with the Volunteer Beaureau, will be holding its annual Winter Coat Exchange, at the Family Centre. Drop-off is daily until October 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Pick-up is from October 16 to 31, from 11 a.m. To 3 p.m. daily.
The Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary is making pierogies and cabbage rolls. There will be no pre-orders – all sales are first come, first served. Pierogies are $6/dozen. Cabbage rolls are $7/dozen. Curbside pick-up will take place Oct. 8 starting at 5 p.m. 250 Church Street, and will continue until everything is sold out.

The Fort Frances Community Clinic is offering flu shots, by appointment only, beginning October 6. Appointments will be available every Tuesday and Thursday in October, from 1-4 p.m. Patients are asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt, and a mask. Those over 65 should call their pharmacy for a high dose influenza vaccine. To make an appointment, call 274-3287 ext 223.
