It is with great sorrow that we, the family of Bluebird George Alexander Major, of Morson, Ont., announces his sudden passing.
He went missing on Lake of the Woods on Monday evening, Oct, 15, 2018 and was found on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018.
Birdy was born in Toronto, Ont. on Feb. 8, 1999 to Marlene Stickings/Bluebird and Brian Trump. He was raised in the home of Brian and Diane Major, who adopted him on May 6, 2006.
He was a joy and a delight to his family and to his many friends. Birdy always had a ready smile for everyone. He loved being out the lake on the ice in the winter with his snowmobile and on the water in the summer commercial fishing.
He also loved playing video games.
Birdy will be greatly missed by his girlfriend, Destiny Copenace, and their son, Jeremiah Major.
Also deeply grieving his passing are his parents, Brian and Diane Major; siblings, Brian Major Jr. (Jeannette), Angela Major (Fred), Barry Comegan, Kayla Brass, Sai Major, and Isaiah Major; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunties and uncles, cousins, and friends.
Birdy was predeceased by his grandparents, Norbert and Mary Major and Alex and Katie Gibbins, and George and Victoria Bluebird; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
A wake was held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 from 4 p.m. at the Big Grassy Community Hall. A funeral service followed on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Rob Weaver officiating.
Interment will take place in the Morson Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Joe Dobransky, Hugh Jensen, James Eastman, Barry Comegan, Brian Major Jr., and Zachary Major.
The honourary pallbearers were his friends and relatives.
