Teeple

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Allan Teeple announces his passing on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1934 in Devlin, Ont. to Florence Hastie (Kellar) and Clinton Teeple.
He married his first wife, Jean (Redford) Teeple in 1959. Together they had two children, Carol Teeple and Wayne Teeple.
They later moved to Atikokan, Ont., where Edward was employed at the Steep Rock Iron Mine until its closing in 1979. After leaving Steep Rock, he then moved to Fort Frances and became a self-employed truck driver, where he met his second wife, Doreen Arnould.
Together, they spent many enjoyable years in Bergland, Ont. raising quarterhorses and cattle, with trips to their cabin on the Little Grassy River.
Edward is survived by his sister, Evelyn (Moe) Tribe; children, Carol and Wayne; Doreen’s three children, Eddie, Debbie (David and daughters, Dawn and Diane), and Randy; and by several nieces and nephews.
He also will be fondly remembered and forever missed by his grandchildren, Sarah, Randi, and Kelley.
Edward was predeceased by his parents; wife, Doreen; sisters, Elaine (Jim) Kennedy and Alice (Jim) Castle; and brother, Jim Teeple.
The family invites you to join them in celebrating Edward’s life at a luncheon on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Métis Hall (714 Armit Ave.) in Fort Frances.
