Erwin Karl Lehmann, born in Radelfingen Switzerland on Dec. 24, 1915, passed away peacefully in the early-morning hours of Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016.
Having lived a fuller life than most can ever imagine, he is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel, seven daughters, five sons, 25 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by a brother and many other relatives in his homeland of Switzerland.
Erwin was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth, and son, Gerhard.
Immigrating to Canada on Aug. 5, 1982 with his wife, Rachel and seven children, Fort Frances is where he called home for the next 34 years.
His family always will remember him for his entertaining stories of a different time, his tireless work ethic, his strength of mind/will, and for the joy he had from working in his garden.
The two things that stand out above all else are his love for his wife, Rachel, and his unshakable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
A time of fellowship for family and friends was held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at the family home, with interment taking place in Box Alder Cemetery.
