Margaret Leveridge

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Leveridge announces her passing on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 at Rainycrest Long Term Care.
Margaret was born on May 16, 1918 in Winnipeg, MB to William and Harriet Harcus and spent her early years in Stonewall, Manitoba.
Margaret graduated as a registered nurse from Winnipeg General Hospital in 1941 and nursed in Victoria, BC until her marriage to Alfred Leveridge on June 7, 1945.
In 1966, she returned to nursing at the Emo Red Cross Hospital where she remained as an administrator until her retirement in 1978.
Margaret was a long-term member of the United Church and UCW. She was very active in the community.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Alfred, on Aug. 4, 1980.
Margaret leaves behind her son, James Leveridge, (Mary); daughters, Linda Leveridge (Ralph Banni) and Margaret Elliott (Robert Elliott); four grandchildren, James Elliott (Kathryn Colby), Kristin Elliott (Michael Miyazaki), Michael Leveridge (Christy Wilson), and Jennifer Leveridge; as well as three great-grandchildren, Xavier Elliott and Audrey and Matthew Leveridge.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont. with Reverend Barbara Miller officiating.
Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The pallbearers will be James Leveridge, Michael Leveridge, Robert Elliott, James Elliott, Ralph Banni, Kristin Elliott and Jennifer Leveridge.
