It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Gouliquer (nee Bragg), 66, of Ignace, Ont. and formerly of Finland, Ont., announces her passing on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Dryden Regional Hospital in Dryden, Ont.
Linda was born Oct. 7, 1949 in Emo, Ont. to Carl and Alverna Bragg.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Orval Gouliquer on Aug. 10, 1968.
Linda worked at different jobs, including waitressing, cooking for the MNR fire camps and the Great Lake Paper Camps, and as a teacher in Ignace, and also was an ambulance attendant.
She was an avid curler, and also loved quading and winter trail rides snowmachining from Ignace to the White Otter Castle.
She will be fondly remembered for her carpentry skills and the love of sewing.
Linda will be greatly missed by her husband, Orval; children, Tiesha (Allan) Anderson of Calgary, Alta., Natalie Gouliquer of Fort Frances, Ont., and Tron (Kim) Gouliquer of Dryden, Ont.; and grandchildren, Eric, Melissa, (Kyle) Amity, (Arron) Dakota, Wyatt, and Rory.
Linda also is survived by her sisters, Candice (Glen) Cann, Bonnie (Ron) Labuik, and Cindy (Fred) Wesphal; sisters-in-law, Cathy (Ben) Brown and Alvina (Nelson) Brown; brother-in-law, Terry (Glenda) Gouliquer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Alverna Bragg; and in-laws, Mary and Peter Gouliquer.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo.
Interment will take place in Barwick Cemetery.
