We celebrate the life of Diane Schindel (Mitchell). who passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016, listening to her favourite Hawaiian music with her family and friends by her side.
Diane was born June 20, 1945 to George and Laura Mitchell, the third of four children. She spent her entire life in Fort Frances, Ont., where she raised her family.
She was married to her love, Ron Schindel, in Maui, Hawaii, where they both loved to go for their winter vacations over the last 30 years.
Diane always will be remembered for her deep love of her family and many friends. Those blessed to be close with Diane know how amazing and special she was to everyone in her life.
Any time spent with Diane always would include laughter, happiness, and sharing the good with the bad. For those she touched, she always was present no matter what was happening in your life.
If anyone possibly could be a best friend to all, it was Diane.
Diane took great pleasure and pride in her children and grandchildren, and she continuously was a big part of what was happening in their lives.
She always loved to “have a visit” with family and friends in her two favourite spots in the whole world: her deck at the lake (home) and in Maui (her paradise on Earth).
Diane was predeceased by her parents, George and Laura; and brother, Doug.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron; children, Tracy, Tyler, Jerry, and Jay; grandchildren, Dylan, Tyanne, Tiegan, Jacob, and Joshua; stepchildren, Colleen and David; step-grandchildren, Brandon and Austin; sisters; Donna (Garland) and Georgina (Lyle); sister-in-law, Darlene; many nieces and nephews; and all the best friends (you know who you are and there are too many to list).
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Rainycrest Auxiliary c/o Green Funeral Home, P.O. Box 427, Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3M8.
May your spirit go in peace to your paradise where there is no pain, and where the oceans and beaches bring you the joy and happiness of a life well-lived. You will always be remembered and never forgotten . . . your best friends.
