It is with heartfelt sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alice Kathryn Judson (nee Lougheed), with her beloved husband at her side, on Friday, March 11, 2016.
She was born Jan. 20, 1936.
Alice will be remembered for her quiet ways, her love for her family, a beautiful woman.
Bob and Alice were married in Emo, Ont. They later moved to Kenora, Ont., raised their family there, and then moved to Kelowna, B.C. in 1981.
Alice worked at The Bay for many years.
Alice will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her, especially her husband, Bob; daughter, Cheryl (Tim) of Kelowna, B.C.; and son, Murray Judson of Lake Country.
She also is survived by three sisters, Ollie (Ray) Stewart of Fort Frances, Ont., Irene Lougheed of Fort Frances, Ont., and Donna Stewart of Crilly, Ont.; two brothers, Williard (Dorothy) Lougheed of Sioux Narrows, Ont. and Gerald Lougheed of Emo, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Linda (Stu), Della (Mark) Elko, and Betty (Keith) Hele, Wendy Judson, and Jean Lougheed; and brothers-in-law, Jim (Arlene) Judson and Joe (Gail) Judson.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, Israel and Elma Lougheed; two sisters, Leone and Edra (Tom); two brothers, Orval and Alfred; brother-in-law, Tom; and sisters-in-law, Laura and Pearl; as well as numerous nieces and nephews of said siblings.
A celebration of Alice’s life was held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
