It is with deep sadness that the family of Heidi Rose George, 31, announces her passing on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Heidi was born on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1984 in Fort Frances, Ont. and had lived most of her life in Rainy River District.
She had a real generous heart, and loved to make people smile and laugh. She also enjoyed telling stories.
Heidi will be sadly missed by her children, Trinidy, Thomas, Boston, Presley, and Chance, and her partner, Colin Ross; and parents, Colleen George (John Smith) and Stewart (Melanie) Allen.
She also is survived by her siblings, David (Rachel) Allen, Matthew (Cassandra) Allen, Marcus Allen, Brent George, Annika George, and Skylar George.
She also will be missed by her cat, “Little Boy.”
Heidi was predeceased by her sister, Wednesday, in infancy.
A traditional burial ritual will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation gymnasium.
Elder Ken Kakeway will officiate, followed by interment in the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation Cemetery.
A wake will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 from 3 p.m. at the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation gymnasium.
The pallbearers will be Elvis Comegan, Mickey Gustafson, Gordon George, Ron Allen, Landon Allen, and Leslie Allen.
