It is with heavy hearts that the family of Beverly Fraczkiewicz (nee Piotrowski) announces her passing, with family by her side, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Beverley was born June 14, 1939 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Jan and Julia (Wanda) Piotrowski.
Beverley was predeceased by her parents, Jan and Julia (Wanda) Piotrowski; brothers, Joe and Tom Piotrowski; sister, Mary Piotrowski; father-in-law, Wojciech Fraczkiewicz; and grandson, William Guertin.
She leaves to morn her husband of 42 years, Bogdan Fraczkiewicz; children, Helena (Robert) Guertin and Marjan Fraczkiewicz; and brothers, Carl (Norma) Piotrowski and Peter (Sharron) Piotrowski, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; mother-in-law, Stanislawa Fraczkiewicz; brother-in-law, Zenek (Halina) Fraczkiewicz; sister-in-law, Grarzyna (Rysick) Benkowski; and brother-in-law, Heniek (Krystyna) Fraczkiewicz, all of Poland.
She also will be missed by her grandchildren, Nathanial Berg, Zacharery Fraczkiewicz, and Julia and Jorja Guertin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Beverley was well-known as “the Licence Lady.” She had worked as a private issuer until she retired in 2006.
She enjoyed her many bus trips with friends to the casino, camping trips, and family gatherings. She also enjoyed crocheting and making crafts with the grandchildren.
Beverley had a special place in her heart for Loretta, Keith, Brad, Brian, Jamie, Gillian, Shawna, Ashlyn, and Nicole. They were a big part of her family.
A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Fr. Victor De Gagné officiating.
