Kathleen (Kathy) Elizabeth Sadergaski (nee Bone), 66, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 in Thunder Bay, Ont. following a struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
She was born Oct. 7, 1949 in Edmonton, Alta., the daughter of Joan (Teddy) and Laverne Bone. The family moved to Fort Frances in 1956.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Laverne and Teddy; and brother, Ronald.
Kathy is survived by her sister, Elaine Aveyard (Glen), brother, Bill Bone (Nancy), as well as her adopted sister and best friend, Judy DeLapp; daughters, Shelly McIntee (Carey) and Tawnya Garro (Joe); son, Larry George (Michelle); grandchildren, Carter, Jaymee, Carson, Emily, Cale, Madison, and Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she very much loved.
During her years in Fort Frances, Kathy worked for P&B Cartage, North American Lumber, CIBC, Meyers Lumber, and Walmart.
Kathy’s family put the sparkle in her eyes. She always was eager to know how everyone was doing even though she wasn’t able to see them as much as she would like to.
Kathy had a soft spot in her heart for each of them.
Kathy also had a love for animals—often feeding the deer and birds outside her home. She also was the adopted mom to her sister’s and mom’s pets.
A number of them had her trained very well to do just as they pleased.
Kathy’s family will be having a gathering on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous in Fort Frances and welcome friends to drop by.
If desired, in memoriam donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
