JORDAN MICHEAL KAVANAUGH

It is with great sadness the family announces that Jordan Micheal Kavanaugh passed away suddenly early Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ont.
Jordan will be greatly remembered and missed by his immediate family, mother, Karen Kavanaugh, sisters, Raychel Indian and Stephanie Nelson, and brothers, Daniel Kavanaugh, Mathew Kavanaugh, and Maccum Nelson; treasured nephew, Lucas; grandmother (Grandma), Geraldine Spruce; uncle, Brad Kavanaugh; aunt, Audrey Kavanaugh; and beloved cousins, Alisha, (Blain) Elias, Marcalene, and Quentin.
Jordan will be joined with his predeceased grandfather, Andrew Kent Spruce.
Jordan was a very loving, caring person who would never say anything bad about anyone. He also was very forgiving and never held any grudge towards anyone.
Jordan loved his family and loved to play jokes on them to make them laugh. He also enjoyed board games and the outdoors; and was very creative and artistic.
He always was willing to lend a helping hand. And no matter how sick he was from his seizures, he always had a smile and never was a quitter once he started something, especially when he would build things.
He was a very determined young man who strongly believed in the traditional ways of life and teachings.
Jordan was loved by many in his life, no matter the struggles he had. He always would get up and be ready for new adventures and challenges.
Jordan wouldn’t let his sickness get in the way of achieving his goals.
Jordan was a good sport and never afraid to try new things. He was a remarkable person and one of a kind. He’s going to be greatly missed by his family and the people he touched.
A wake was held Friday, May 15, 2015 starting at 1 p.m. at the Onigaming First Nation School gymnasium.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10 a.m., with Elder Ron Indian-Mandamin and Elder Laura Horton officiating.
Interment followed at Onigaming First Nation Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Daniel Kavanaugh, Mathew Kavanaugh, and Stanley Paul.
The honourary pallbearer was Jordan’s brother, Maccum Nelson.
