NANCY ELIZABETH ANDERSON

It is with great sorrow that the family of Nancy Anderson announces her passing, after a brief battle with cancer, on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Nancy was born July 4, 1949 in Fort Frances to Jack and Muriel Marr. She was one of 10 children.
She moved to Thunder Bay, Ont. in 1977 but her heart never left Fort Frances. She returned every July for Canada Day and stayed through for the bass tournament.
She also never missed a family Christmas in Fort Frances.
Nancy was an outgoing person who loved to be surrounded by her family and friends.
She was very involved in St. Luke’s Church in Thunder Bay and treasured her friends there.
She leaves behind her son, Randy Rostie (Mary Lynn) of Grandview, Mo.; and siblings, Jim (Brenda) Marr of Fort Frances, Ont., Sandra Marr of Calgary, Alta., and Susan Marr, Peggy Adams, Barbara Marr, and Cathy (Tim) Tucker, all of Fort Frances, Ont.
She also is survived by her brothers-in-law, Hector MacDonald and Eric Saranpaa, and Jim (Janice) Anderson, and sister-in-law, Lynda (Ed) Campbell, all of Thunder Bay, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents; husband, Bob Anderson; brother, Jackie; sisters, Judy MacDonald and Wendy Saranpaa; nieces, Tammy and Aimee Adams; and great- niece, Mckalia Marr.
A private family graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, with Fr. Wayne McIntosh officiating.
