It is with deep sadness that the family of Elizabeth Lucy Kapac announces her passing, at the age of 91, on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Elizabeth was born in Fort Frances in 1924 to Ann and George Demetruk, and lived in the area all of her life.
She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Colvin, and brother, William Demetruk.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Janet) Kapac of Toronto, Ont.; brother, George of Lompoc, Calif.; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
During WW II, Elizaberth served with the RCAF Woman’s Division, including briefly serving overseas.
The majority of her working career was spent performing secretarial duties with Boise Cascade.
Elizabeth had a variety of interests and led an active life caring for her house and garden, as well as doing handicrafts and volunteer work. She was always learning new things and loved to travel.
At Elizabeth’s request, a private service will be held.
