LESLIE CHRISTINE SHARPE

With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Leslie Christine Sharpe, at the age of 63, in Ardmore, Okla. while travelling to Texas.
She was predeceased by her father, George Sharpe; mother, Donalda; and sister, Susan.
Leslie is survived by her partner and soul-mate, Jean-Marie (Bill) Gallant; nephew, Mark Boles; great-niece, Kara; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Leslie was born Feb. 10, 1951 in Pine Falls, Man. She was an outstanding athlete in her younger years and enjoyed many wonderful days at the family cottage on Wallace Lake.
Educated at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont., Les settled in Fort Frances, Ont., where she taught for many years at Fort Frances High School and IVEK/TLC.
While in Fort Frances, she met the love of her life, Bill. Together they enjoyed summer fishing trips, golf outings, numerous vacations, and their many friends.
They especially enjoyed winters at Trophy Gardens in Alamo, Tex. Les called Trophy Gardens their home away from home and was proud to be a “Winter Texan!”
Leslie was a tremendous cook and took great joy in entertaining family and friends. She had a spunky yet kind character, paid utmost attention to detail, and always was willing to be generous of her time to help others.
Les will be sadly missed by family and friends in Canada and the U.S.
As per Leslie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
“When you miss someone who has passed away, think of it as a blessing that you were lucky enough to have had the kind of bond that makes you miss them than much.”
