RUDOLPH (RUDY) MEYERS

Rudolph (Rudy) John Meyers, 78, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mina Meyers.
Rudy lived on the family farm in Carpenter Township, from the time he was born until October of last year.
He loved farming and raised a variety of livestock and poultry. He also loved tinkering on old machinery. He often could be found at auction sales around the district.
Rudy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 in Emo, Ont., where he spent many evenings playing cards with his friends.
In his earlier years, Rudy drove truck for construction companies as well as logging companies, and in his later years drove snowplow for the MTO.
Rudy will be missed for his many stories. He had an incredible ability to remember times and places of particular events—even from many years ago.
As per Rudy’s wishes, there will not be a funeral.
Friends and relatives are invited to a time of fellowship on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo.
Memories of Rudy will be presented at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
